Connecticut clean energy

Sterling Planet, a CT DPUC approved renewable energy provider, is offering CT Clean Choice™ to Connecticut homes and businesses. This offering is made possible through a program called CTCleanEnergyOptions.

CT Clean Choice™ supports a diverse mix of approved and verified renewable energy sources. For 27¢ a day, the average household that has a $145 electric bill helps support cleaner renewable energy from New England and Connecticut small hydro and new wind. By enrolling today, you are doing your part for the environment, energy security and independence, and for a sustainable economy.

Here's how it works:
Once you enroll, an additional monthly charge of $0.0115 per kWh is added to your electric bill. This renewable energy premium (27¢ a day for the average house that uses 700 kWh monthly) helps to cover the gap between fossil fuel costs and the cost of clean wind, landfill gas and small CT hydro.  All sales are verified by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control and help make more cleaner electricity for all of us.

  • Stay with CL&P or UI, your current electric utility, keeping the same relationship and reliable electric service
  • Sign up for CT Clean Choiceand support renewable energy from wind and small hydro sources
  • Help put more clean, renewable energy on the electric grid.

The decision is yours.  Which of the following do you want to support?
